Typechap in Morocco

Signage in Chefchaouen – blue city in Morocco by the Rif Mountains. Every wall, sign, lampost – everything basically – is blue. Dating back to the 1930s when Jewish settlers fleeing persecution arrived and started to paint a blue pigment wash on walls (the blue colour in Judaism represents the blue sky and heaven). Now this city is the blue pearl of Morocco, and the backdrop for a lurid and rich mix of Arabic and English letters and numbers.
